Quintessence books are back down under

QuintEd, the official Australian and New Zealand distributor of Quintessence books and education material, has brought the quintessential publisher back down under.

The publishing company boasts many acclaimed authors namely, Pascal Magne, Otto Zuhr and Didier Dietschi, and has a range of titles that cover every subject related to dentistry and aims to bring its readers the latest and greatest in dental information.

For over 70 years Quintessence has been meeting the needs of both the beginning dental student and the experienced practitioner, and over the course of that time has worked with over 3,000 authors to publish over 60 professional journals, more than 1,500 book titles, and 300 plus multimedia products.

QuintEd director Gordon Anderson worked on bringing the books back Down Under and was pleased to see the books so well received in Australia and New Zealand, as was evidenced at the company’s official launch at the FDI World Dental Congress in Sydney.

“We had amazing interest in the books at the FDI in September and sales far exceeded our expectations,” said Mr Anderson. “It’s great to see that even in today’s digital world, people still value textbooks and literature and that these are an integral part of continuing learning for dental practitioners.”

QuintEd, in partnership with Quintessence, specialises in clinical manuals — written by clinicians for clinicians to demonstrate the latest procedures, techniques and technology available to improve patient outcomes — and the quality of images is unmatched in dental publishing, with publications being meticulously edited to package the information in a way that is easily understood and applicable to daily practice.

Along with the books and other education material, QuintEd hosts education events and is a regular at dental education events around Australia.

“The goal is to get back to the Quintessence Symposiums of old,” explained Mr Anderson, the last one being held in 2018, where 16 world renowned speakers graced the stage over three days. “Work has already started on the International Quintessence Symposium 2026 and we are very excited and optimistic about the years ahead.”
